Continuing tradition




Christmas has always been the season of joy for most people, the season of giving, the season of gathering. But what if unforeseen events cause our joyful season to be restricted, is it still the season of joy and togetherness?

This year, like the previous one, we are still experiencing the pandemic known as Covid-19. But unlike last year, this year, we are able to selebrate the holidays with less restrictions than before. But we still need to practice caution, cuz despite the vaccines lowering our chances to be affected by the virus, we are still bulnerable to it and isnt completely immune. As such this christmas is a step up- an improvement from the last one we experienced, so thats something to look up too. Given that we are not out of the tunnel yet, we should still make the best of it since Christmas only happens once a year.

The resilience

The Philippines had been through its fair share of calamities. From earthquakes, typhoons to flooding and even draughts. All of these things has happened more than it needs to. Due to the Philippines geographical location, in which generally produce heavy rains and flooding a large area, as such it is needed that our country is resilient, to be ready at all times. It is very important to regain what was lost as fast as possible, because we don’t know when will the next calamity will occur. If ever we are unable to regain what has been lost during the calamity right away or worst, never at all. It will be fatal to the people residing within the confined of the are. So for that to not become possible we need to act fast, secure and accordingly.

FREEDOM AND LIBERTY CAME WITH A PRICE

Japanese planes also bombarded the American Far East Air Force's important sites in Manila, as well as the US Central Command. The Asiatic Fleet is stationed in the Philippines. A large number of American planes were shot down. The US Asiatic Fleet moved south after withdrawing its ships from their naval station in Cavite. The only force remaining to combat the Japanese was the submarine force.   Officials in charge of Bataan, where Filipino and American soldiers were the major opposition in the struggle against the Japanese, publicly surrendered on April 9, 1942. Today, we remember and honor our dead warriors from the Battle of Bataan, as well as our modern-day heroes.
