The Inherited

 I want to be more than my grandfather ever was, let me explain. A pleasant day to all, today you will know some things about me that you might not have known before. From things I adore to what I would hate more, from what gives me euphoria to what I want to ignore. You will meet the people I love from my mother to my grandfather to the friends I cherish.

My given name is Joel John Carlo Orio, I prefer to be addressed as Carlo more than anything but Joel or John is still fine, some of the friends I hold close calls me Carlo, I am currently residing in Guimod, Bantay, Ilocos Sur were my grandparents live and where my mother lived through her childhood before going abroad years before I was even born, my mother gave birth to me on January 21, 2006 at a random hospital in Athens, Greece where I stayed for a year or so. At the year of 2021 I am now 15 years old. I’m not in anyway social, because of my social anxiety, I don’t have a lot of friends but for the friends I do have, I am thankful for.

The meaning for my title is quite simple. All three of my name’s came from my dad and both my grandfather from my mother side and my father side respectively. I may not have met my dad or my grand father from his side but my grandfather from my mother side is a strong man who doesn’t take crap from anyone and has a strong will, he is also a great leader from what I’ve heard from people who lived in our baranggay when he was the brgy. Captain. That is why I don’t want to be like him, I want to be more than he is to live up to his name.

The resilience

The Philippines had been through its fair share of calamities. From earthquakes, typhoons to flooding and even draughts. All of these things has happened more than it needs to. Due to the Philippines geographical location, in which generally produce heavy rains and flooding a large area, as such it is needed that our country is resilient, to be ready at all times. It is very important to regain what was lost as fast as possible, because we don’t know when will the next calamity will occur. If ever we are unable to regain what has been lost during the calamity right away or worst, never at all. It will be fatal to the people residing within the confined of the are. So for that to not become possible we need to act fast, secure and accordingly.

FREEDOM AND LIBERTY CAME WITH A PRICE

Japanese planes also bombarded the American Far East Air Force's important sites in Manila, as well as the US Central Command. The Asiatic Fleet is stationed in the Philippines. A large number of American planes were shot down. The US Asiatic Fleet moved south after withdrawing its ships from their naval station in Cavite. The only force remaining to combat the Japanese was the submarine force.   Officials in charge of Bataan, where Filipino and American soldiers were the major opposition in the struggle against the Japanese, publicly surrendered on April 9, 1942. Today, we remember and honor our dead warriors from the Battle of Bataan, as well as our modern-day heroes.
